Blind Soul Passing

Oedipus called himself a ‘child of chance’.
No victim to fate, he chose to confront the twin spectres of awful lives re-joined.
With life no guarantee;
the future never certain;
he was eventually crippled by his own enlightenment.
And so,
in breaking timeless bounds of vulnerability,
he became a hero.
