Tiger’s Nest

Forging through drifting snows of indecision, the wizened Sherpa blazed forever on.
Up, up.
His breath hovering in frozen eddies of crystalline, still blue superstition.
The high Himalaya looked down the flag-fluttered centuries,
knowing last night’s two-timing kisses would shatter all deception
and result only in the dragon’s broken dignity.
